EloView® 2.0 Feature Release
- I-Series version 1.14.22 Not applicable to PayPoint and IDS Computer Module
What Can You Expect?
The EloView product team is excited to announce an important feature update to close out 2016. This update is a packed with features specifically developed for the enterprise customer.
You can now deploy web apps where the URL is automatically customized to a specific device via device name or site name. This will allow a single web-app to be deployed to a large number of devices, while each device has its unique URL
You can now create a new type of content called a “bundle”. A bundle can contain up to five of any content supported by EloView. When you drag and drop a bundle onto a device (or group), all components will be downloaded and installed on the device, with one app selected as the “foreground app”.
A “search” box has been added to the Dashboard, Devices and Content page. You can search for devices based on several criteria (e.g., name, location and content app) and save this search to a dynamic filter. On the content page, you can also filter by content status to quickly get to devices that did not load scheduled content. You can also select multiple devices to drop to a group.
You can now select the device language from the cloud, device settings page.
Method of Distribution
EloView portal update will be available at 6 pm Pacific Time on Thursday December 15, 2016. At the same time, a new device version (1.14.22 for the I-Series) will be available as an optional update through the portal for customer acceptance testing.
On Thursday December 29, 2016, 1.14.22 will become the default to update from the cloud or the device control panel. You can still use other versions via Advanced OTA.
As always, your devices will never prompt for an update or auto-update. Once the update is available, devices can be updated from the EloView Portal or at the device-level from the EloView Control Panel.
