On September 18th the EloView team will release a major update to EloView 4 that includes the following new features and enhancements:

Interface and Usability Enhancements 

You can now...

Customize the device page with additional column option

New columns include: IP Address, Last online/Last reboot, Network type, Android Home, Android Nav Bar, Device Key Remap, Device Key Wakeup, DFS, Interactive Overlay , Ip Address, Last Online, Last Reboot, Mac Address, Multi App Mode, Network Type, Orientation, PoE Usage, Virtual Keyboard.

Navigate the device details page with an improved layout for easier browsing

Device settings have been grouped in a more cohesive fashion

Export a full list of users who have access to your EloView account from the Users page

Fields include Name, Email, Role, Last Login, MFA (Yes/No)

You can now...

Identify a particular device’s power source in device settings

For MR-24 and higher, the “Power Source” field to the device settings menu. This field will show “PoE” for devices using Power over Ethernet, or “Power Adapter” for devices using battery and/or AC

Add Peripheral Configurations and Power over Ethernet usage in the device report

Device report can now be configured to include:

  • Peripheral port configuration displaying which peripherals are connected on each device I/O port
  • The presence of a PoE adapter

Customize Peripheral Configurations for Z20 Gen 2 Stand

Includes ability to lock and/or unlock ports, as well as displaying information on the connected USB peripheral

Customize Peripheral Configurations on I-Series 5.0 Devices

USB ports on I-Series 5.0 devices can be locked and unlocked through the Peripheral Configuration tab in the EloView portal

You can now...

Control the Display Power setting

Display Power toggle added to device settings page.

Adjust Color Settings

Color Settings dropdown added to the device settings page. Options include Standard, Movie, Gaming, Photo, Line Mode, and Color Enhance. Each configuration has unique, pre-defined color settings that will be applied to the device.

Change the device language

Supported languages include English,Spanish, French, German, Italian,Simplified Chinese, TraditionalChinese, Korean, Russian, Japanese

“Default” option available at Device level. If “Default” is chosen for an individual device, changes made at the Group/Account level will not overwrite selections made on individual device(s)

Update the Time Zone

Time zone dropdown added to device settings page. Use this dropdown to set the device’s time zone in EloView.

Mute the Device

Mute toggle added to device settings page. When volume is active, enabling the toggle will mute the device. When the device is unmuted, it will retain the volume setting shown on EloView.

Set the Device Orientation

Device Orientation dropdown added to device settings page. Options for Device Orientation are “Landscape” or “Portrait” mode.

Enhancements and Fixes

Fixed an issue where users were unable to enter negative GPS coordinates in the GPS Coordinate field for a given device

Fixed an issue where some users were unable to edit custom values from the device settings menu

Fixed an issue to ensure deleting delayed content will no longer remove the content currently playing on a device

Method of Distribution

The update will be applied on September 18 from 5pm–8pm Pacific Time / September 20 from 2am–5am Central European Time. There will be no downtime associated with this update. Users may experience decreased performance of EloView services during this time. Please note, devices and their content will not be impacted.
